The entrance door is just in via Boccaccio: through an old high cypress door you enter the house called “Il Vecchio Forno”. A large living room will welcome you, with armchairs and TV set, which also serves as a dining-room. Here is the old bakery, still untouched, which produced bread for the village people. Upstairs, just over the bakery, where the bread was stored to rise before baking, there is now a rice twin-bedded room.

From the living room you go into a hall with an ancient wardrobe and a sofa which can become a double bed; from here you reach another double bed room with an old wrought iron bed and them into the bathroom with a shower. The kitchen also has a cooker with electric oven and a fridge. But the most fascination part of this residence is its garden on the back of the house, facing the wonderful Tuscan landscape. Among great fruit trees, olive trees and flowers an typical Tuscan terracotta jars you can open air lunch or dinner.

The garden is equipped with a table, chairs and barbecue. The garden ends with a pergola over a tower which is part of the ancient walls of Certaldo Alto. All around, the green Chianti hills makes you full in a very unique atmosphere. Price: 450,00 euro weekly (heating not included)
